::WEEK1:: What Authoring System is all about?

Authoring system is one of the course that I have to take in order to finish out my master in my university. I find out that this course is really beneficial to be discover and learn for my future career life. Authoring system is most likely will involved with basic programming language and authoring concept. The basic web programming language that will be used is HTML and will be continue with other complex concepts as example ASP and PHP. Besides, in this course I also will learn on how to use database such as Microsoft Access and MySQL.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The learning outcomes of this course are to help students to be able to

1. Develop a simple and interactive multimedia application using programming and authoring skills
2. Analyze the concept of dynamic webpage that use database and interactive web technology.
3. Display the skills of developing an interactive webpage using one of web development software that uses ASP/PHP database facility.
4. Analyze programming errors in interactive multimedia application and web-based application that have been developed.
5. Differentiate the differences between developing web-based application using ASP and PHP.
6. Work in a team to accomplish a process of web-based development using server-side scripting.
